At Hale & Monico, Ms. West focuses her practice area on civil rights litigation. Prior to coming to Hale & Monico, Ms. West handled numerous areas of civil litigation including insurance defense, medical malpractice and most extensively defending Cook County in civil rights and malicious prosecution claims. Ms. West has individually tried over 40 jury trials and successfully argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Most recently Ms. West served as the Deputy Supervisor of the Civil Rights/Torts Litigation Section of the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. In the Civil Rights/Torts Litigation Section Allyson helped to supervise upwards of approximately 17 attorneys in a Section that handles at any given time over approximately 400 cases, while handling a caseload of her own.
